The workload is like a passing shower: sometimes there is a lot, and sometimes you are so idle that you just scroll on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch office’s boss. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there is an official document, 99% of the time it is actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you do not do well, the technician will bluntly berate you. After maintenance, the senior technician will not perform a final inspection; if there is a problem after the vehicle is released, you are screwed. New hires do not receive an hourly-work bonus during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be evening shifts. Basically, the shift schedule violates the Labor Standards Act (8 hours + 16-hour shift + 8 hours of work the next day). If newcomers want to make money, they can stay; this company depends on whether you get a good mentor.
