The workload is like a rain shower: sometimes there is a lot to do, and sometimes there is so little that you end up scrolling on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch manager. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there is an official document, 99% of the time it is actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only by senior technicians using traditional methods. If you do something poorly, the technicians will chew you out without holding back. After maintenance, the senior technicians do not perform a final inspection; if there is a problem after the vehicle is released, you are screwed. New hires do not receive hourly-work bonuses during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night-shift duty. Basically, the duty schedule violates the Labor Standards Act (8 hours + 16 hours of duty + 8 hours of work the next day). If new hires want money, they should stay; at this company, your experience depends on which technician you get paired with.
