The workload is like a passing rainstorm—sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes there’s so little that you end up scrolling on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch office’s boss. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official document, there’s a 99% chance it was actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are taught only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you don’t do well, the technicians will chew you out without holding back. After maintenance, the senior technicians don’t perform a final inspection; if there’s a problem after the vehicle is released, you’re screwed. New hires don’t receive hourly-work bonuses during their first three months. Depending on the individual’s situation, there may be night shifts. Basically, the shifts violate labor laws (8 hours + a 16-hour shift + 8 hours of work the next day). If new hires want the money, they can stay—the company favors people who have connections with the senior technicians.
