The workload is like a passing rain shower: sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes you’re so idle that you end up scrolling on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch manager. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official document, 99% of the time it’s actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only by senior and veteran technicians. If you don’t do the job well, the technicians will scold you bluntly. After maintenance, the senior technicians don’t conduct a final inspection; once the vehicle is released, any problems mean you’re screwed. New hires receive no hourly-work bonus during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night shifts. Basically, the shifts violate labor laws (8 hours + 16-hour shift duty + 8 hours of work the next day). If new hires want the money, they can stay; at this company, it depends on whether your mentor takes a liking to you.
