The workload is like a rain shower—sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes you’re so idle you just scroll on your phone. The plant manager is essentially the branch company’s boss. Whenever you hear “the company has decided,” unless there’s an official written notice, 99% of the time it’s actually the plant manager’s decision.
New technicians are trained only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you don’t do well, the senior technicians will chew you out without holding back. After maintenance, the senior technicians don’t perform a final inspection; once the vehicle is released, if there’s a problem, you’re screwed. New employees receive no hourly-work bonus during their first three months. Depending on the individual, there may be night-shift duty. Basically, the duty schedule violates the Labor Standards Act (8 hours of regular work + 16 hours of duty + 8 hours of work the next day). New employees who want the money can stay; at this company, it depends on whether your mentor takes a liking to you.
