The workload is like a passing shower—sometimes there’s a lot to do, and sometimes it’s so quiet you end up scrolling on your phone.
New technicians are trained only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you don’t do the work well, the technicians will criticize you harshly. After maintenance, the senior technician won’t perform a final inspection; if there’s a problem after the vehicle is released, you’re screwed. New employees don’t receive productivity bonuses during their first three months. Depending on your individual situation, you may have evening shifts. Basically, the shifts violate the Labor Standards Act (8 hours + 16-hour shift + 8 hours of work the next day). New employees who want to make money should stay, but at this company, your experience depends on which mentor you get.
