The workload is like a rain shower—sometimes there’s a lot, and sometimes you’re so idle you just scroll on your phone.
New technicians are trained only by traditional methods and senior technicians. If you don’t do well, the technician will criticize you bluntly. After maintenance, the senior technician won’t perform a final inspection, so if there’s a problem after the vehicle is released, you’re screwed. New hires don’t receive hourly bonuses during their first three months. Depending on your individual level, you may be assigned evening shifts. Basically, the shifts violate the Labor Standards Act (8 hours + 16-hour shift duty + 8 hours of work the next day). If new hires want to make money, they can stay, but at this company, everything depends on whether you get along with your mentor.
