The work environment is good and very new, with new equipment and a well-equipped pantry. The colleagues are all young and generally easy to get along with.

This is a company that really likes holding meetings. There are various routine meetings every day, many of which are merely formalities. When outside guests visit, everyone is required to attend, giving the impression that the company cares more about its image and therefore likes to have everyone present. The boss occasionally comes up with additional activities that employees are expected to attend, such as small competitions. You get drinks on your birthday, and snacks are often provided. Besides your actual daily work, there are also a great many routine miscellaneous tasks that new employees are expected to handle. These tasks can only be reassigned when another new employee joins, so if no new person comes in, you just keep doing them. Every department monitors the others, so your interactions with everyone are monitored, and if you do something poorly, all the managers will know. Leave requests are approved, but you may be given a hard time afterward. There is an overtime culture, but overtime is compensated with time off in lieu rather than overtime pay. Personally, I think the salary is also much lower than that of similar companies.
