The work environment is good, very new, and the equipment is very new. The pantry is well-equipped. The colleagues are all young and generally easy to get along with.

This company really likes holding meetings. There are all kinds of routine meetings every day, many of which are merely formalities. Whenever external guests visit, everyone is required to attend. It feels like the company cares about its image and therefore likes to make everyone participate. The boss occasionally comes up with additional activities that employees are required to attend, such as small competitions. There are drinks on employees’ birthdays, and snacks are often provided. In addition to their regular daily work, new employees are responsible for a whole bunch of routine minor tasks. These are tasks that can only be reassigned when another new employee joins—so if no new person comes in, you just keep doing them. Every department monitors the others, so your interactions with everyone are monitored, and if you do something poorly, all the supervisors will know. Leave requests are approved, but you may be given a hard time afterward. There is an overtime culture, but overtime is compensated with time off in lieu rather than overtime pay. Personally, I think the salary is also much lower than that of other companies in the same industry.
