The work environment is good, very new, with very new equipment. The pantry is well-equipped, and the coworkers are all young and generally easy to get along with.

This is a company that really likes holding meetings. There are various routine meetings every day, many of which are just formalities. Whenever external guests visit, everyone is required to attend. It feels like the company cares about its image and therefore likes to make everyone participate. The boss occasionally comes up with additional activities that employees are required to attend, such as small competitions. You get a drink on your birthday, and there are often snacks. In addition to your actual daily work, there are a whole lot of routine minor tasks that new employees are responsible for. These are tasks that can only be reassigned after another new employee joins—in other words, if no new person comes in, you just keep doing them. Every department monitors the others, so your interactions with everyone are monitored, and if you do something poorly, all the supervisors will know. Leave requests are approved, but you may be given a hard time afterward. There is an overtime culture, but overtime is compensated with time off in lieu rather than overtime pay. Personally, I think the salary is also much lower than that of other companies in the same industry.
