The work environment is good, very new, with new equipment and a well-equipped pantry. The coworkers are all young and generally easy to get along with.

The company really likes holding meetings. There are various routine meetings every day, many of which are just formalities. Whenever external guests visit, everyone is required to attend. It feels like the company cares about its image and therefore likes to have everyone participate. The boss occasionally comes up with additional activities that employees are required to attend, such as small competitions. There are drinks on birthdays and snacks quite often. In addition to their regular daily work, new employees are responsible for a whole host of routine minor tasks. These tasks can only be reassigned once another new employee joins, which means that if no one new comes in, you just keep doing them. Every department monitors the others, so your interactions with everyone are monitored, and if you do something poorly, all the managers will know. Leave requests are approved, but you may be given a hard time afterward. There is an overtime culture, but overtime is compensated with time off in lieu rather than overtime pay. Personally, I think the salary is also much lower than in the same industry.
