The work environment is good and very new, with new equipment and a well-equipped pantry. The coworkers are all young and generally easy to get along with.

This is a company that really likes holding meetings. There are various routine meetings every day, many of which are just for show. Whenever external guests visit, everyone has to attend. It feels like the company cares about its image and therefore likes to have everyone participate. The boss occasionally comes up with additional activities that employees are expected to attend, such as small competitions. You get a drink on your birthday, and snacks are often provided. In addition to their regular daily work, newcomers are responsible for a whole host of routine minor tasks. These are duties that can only be reassigned when another new employee joins, so if no one new comes in, you just keep doing them. Every department monitors the others, so your interactions with everyone are being watched, and if you do something poorly, all the managers will know. Leave requests are approved, but you may be given a hard time afterward. There is an overtime culture, but overtime is compensated with time off in lieu rather than overtime pay. In my opinion, the salary is also much lower than that offered by other companies in the same industry.
