This is a company that really likes holding meetings. There are various routine meetings every day, many of which are just formalities. Whenever external guests visit, everyone is required to attend. It feels like the company places a lot of emphasis on its image and likes to have everyone participate. The boss occasionally comes up with additional activities that employees are required to attend, such as small competitions. You get drinks on your birthday, and snacks are often provided. In addition to their regular daily work, new employees are responsible for a large number of routine miscellaneous tasks. These are tasks that can only be reassigned when another new employee joins, meaning that if no new employee comes in, you just keep doing them. Every department monitors the others, so your interactions with everyone are monitored, and if you do something poorly, all the managers will know. Leave requests are approved, but you may be given a hard time afterward. There is an overtime culture, but overtime is compensated with time off in lieu rather than overtime pay. Personally, I think the salary is also much lower than that of other companies in the same industry.
