For fieldwork, the company provides a company car and a business-use phone. The company likes wining and dining.
A small family-run business selling bathroom and plumbing equipment. One person is expected to do the work of three, so the job heavily depends on sales ability. All employees must thoroughly memorize the company's product information and prices. Whether working in the office or out in the field, you need sales skills and must develop new leads. You also have to do a great deal of physical labor and act as a driver, taking supervisors all over other counties and cities. Every day, you have to submit reports and write summaries detailing that day's work. After work, you often have to stay for meetings and discussions. Even when there is nothing important to discuss, there are still a bunch of meaningless meetings held after hours. You also frequently have to run personal errands for the boss. Employees are treated like servants and are often kept past the end of the workday. There are also too many business social engagements, which often drag on until very late. The pay is not high, and the performance bonuses are practically worthless. The boss keeps a very close eye on employees: besides requiring daily reports, they constantly watch the surveillance cameras, track company vehicles with a GPS system, and occasionally require employees to submit reflections on their work. Working at this company lets you experience what it means to have no quality of life and to suffer from post-holiday blues. The pay is also pitifully low. Not recommended!
