When checking in at Juyang, you sign the work rules stating that you will be fined NT$20 for forgetting to clock in and NT$40 for forgetting to bring your time card. Even if you did clock in but it doesn’t show up on the computer, telling HR that you clocked in is useless—you will still be fined NT$20. I called 1999 and was told that this violates regulations, and that having such a rule in the work rules is illegal even if it is written down. However, HR seemed unaware that this was illegal. I hope someone who cares about justice can have this wage-deduction rule removed.
