When checking in at Juyang, you sign the work rules stating that you will be fined NT$20 for forgetting to clock in and NT$40 for forgetting to bring your card. Even if you clocked in but it doesn’t show up on the computer, telling HR that you clocked in is useless—you are still fined NT$20. I called 1999 and was told that this violates regulations, and that even if such a rule is written in the work rules, it is still illegal. However, HR apparently does not know this. I hope someone who cares about justice can help eliminate this wage-deduction rule.
