When checking in at Jie Yang, you sign the work rules stating that forgetting to clock in will result in a NT$20 deduction, and forgetting to bring your card will result in a NT$40 deduction. Even if you did clock in but it does not show up on the computer, telling HR that you clocked in is useless; instead, you are still charged NT$20. I called 1999 and was told that this violates regulations. They said that having such a provision in the work rules is illegal, even if it is written down, but it seems that HR is also unaware that this is illegal.
