To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first fill out an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted for overtime pay. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government mistakenly believe that employees volunteer to work overtime. In reality, salaries are kept extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up for it.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or late-meal allowances are provided.
When requesting leave that coincides with a consecutive holiday period (Saturday and Sunday), employees must obtain the general manager’s approval before taking leave. If requesting two or more days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is stipulated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, I should be able to take it as I wish, and the company should not interfere. However, the general manager of this company really does reject requests, and employees have to escalate the matter and submit their resignations before approval is granted.
Salaries are all calculated manually, and payment always takes five working days. When holidays occur, payment is guaranteed to be delayed further; it is never paid on time. The compensation system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime-based system, and a monthly salary system in which half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
