To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first fill out an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted for pay. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government mistakenly believe that the overtime is voluntary. In reality, salaries are kept extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up for it.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or meal allowances are provided.
For leave requests, when they coincide with consecutive holidays (Saturday and Sunday), the general manager’s approval is required before leave can be taken. If requesting two or more days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is mandated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, I should be able to take it as I wish, and the company should not interfere. However, the general manager of this company really does reject requests, and employees have to make a serious issue of it and submit their resignations before approval is granted.
Salaries are all calculated manually, and payment always takes five working days. When holidays occur, payment is guaranteed to be delayed further; it is never paid on time. The pay system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime-based system, and a monthly payment system in which half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
