To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first complete an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted for overtime pay. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government believe that employees volunteered to work overtime. In reality, salaries are kept extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up the difference.
There are no provided boxed meals or meal allowances for working overtime.
For leave requests, when they coincide with consecutive holidays (Saturday and Sunday), the general manager’s signature and approval are required before leave can be taken. If requesting two or more days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is mandated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, the company should not be able to control how I use it. However, the general manager of this company really does reject requests and requires employees to make a major issue of it and submit their resignation before being willing to approve them.
Salaries are all calculated manually, and payment always takes five working days. When holidays occur, payment is guaranteed to be delayed; it is never paid on time. The salary system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime system, and a monthly-payment-half system, with the other half paid every three months.
