To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first fill out an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted or paid. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government believe that employees work overtime voluntarily. In reality, wages are kept extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to make up the difference.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or meal allowances are provided.
For leave requests, when they coincide with consecutive holidays (Saturday and Sunday), the general manager must sign and approve them before leave can be taken. If requesting two or more days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is stipulated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, the company should not be able to control how I take it. However, the general manager of this company really does return leave requests, and employees have to make a major issue of it—even submit a resignation—before approval is granted.
Salaries are calculated manually, and processing always takes five working days. If there is a holiday, payment is guaranteed to be postponed; it is never paid on time. The salary system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime-based system, and a monthly-pay system in which half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
