To evade the Labor Standards Act, the company requires employees to first fill out an “Overtime Estimate Report” by the end of the previous month and obtain the general manager’s approval before working overtime; otherwise, the overtime will not be counted for overtime pay. Employees must also fill out a “Voluntary Overtime Application Form” to evade the Labor Standards Act, making the government mistakenly believe that employees work overtime voluntarily. In reality, salaries are set extremely low, so employees have to rely on overtime pay to supplement their income.
When working overtime, no boxed meals or missed-meal allowances are provided.
For leave applications, when there is a consecutive holiday period (Saturday and Sunday), employees must obtain the general manager’s approval before taking leave. If taking two or more days of leave, employees must also write a report for the general manager’s approval. Annual leave is stipulated by the government; as long as work progress is not affected, I should be able to take it as I wish, and the company should not interfere. However, the general manager of this company really does reject applications, and employees have to make a major issue of it and submit their resignation before the leave will be approved.
Salaries are all calculated manually and invariably require five working days. If a holiday occurs, payment is guaranteed to be delayed further; it is never paid on time. The salary system is divided into a responsibility-based system, an overtime-based system, and a monthly payment system in which half is paid monthly and the other half is paid every three months.
