Taking Ming Chia Li Metal, a leading copper coil supplier in Taiwan with over 40 years of history, as an example, after implementing the PIMQ machine networking system, the company can monitor machine operations and collect data in real time, significantly reducing paper usage by 50%, lowering machine management labor costs, and improving equipment utilization. More importantly, the system converts the experience of veteran workers into digital indicators, establishing a professional knowledge base unique to the company and genuinely helping small and medium-sized enterprises realize the benefits of digital transformation.

Ming Chia Li Metal Industrial Co., the country’s second-largest copper importer, has been implicated in a case involving the diversion of benefits. Investigators received a report alleging that the Lin family, which had long controlled Ming Chia Li, established another company, Lianhua Aluminum, and used Lianhua’s name to import copper raw materials before selling them to Ming Chia Li at inflated prices. The Lin family allegedly pocketed the price difference, obtaining more than NT$100 million in illicit benefits over four years and potentially violating the breach-of-trust statute. On the 28th, investigators conducted searches at seven locations, including Lianhua and Ming Chia Li, and questioned five defendants—including Lianhua and Ming Chia Li representatives Lin Chiu-chun and Lin Shih-chiang, who are siblings—as well as two witnesses. After questioning, prosecutors ordered Lin Chiu-chun and Lin Shih-chiang released on bail of NT$3 million and NT$5 million, respectively, while restricting both from leaving Taiwan by land or sea. Two other alleged accomplices, surnamed Yang and Huang, were each released on bail of NT$150,000.
