The position you find may be completely different from the one the job bank sent you, and the job responsibilities can also be entirely different—it all depends on the interviewer’s mood.
As the boss, they can say things like, “We only need to hire someone who has just graduated from university; there’s no need to hire a professional.” The interview time kept being changed according to their schedule. On the day of the interview, which had been arranged for the afternoon, they didn’t tell you until almost noon—do they expect you to arrive after noon?
They constantly belittle candidates’ abilities based on their own subjective views. The position was clearly for administrative and clerical work, yet they said you didn’t know how to shoot videos. This company culture is very unusual.
They have an inflated sense of self-importance, believing the brand is highly prestigious, and produce a large, bulky quarterly publication. Seriously, now that e-books are available, who still reads newspapers? As mentioned earlier, just hire a recent university graduate to make the e-book for you—it’s cheap and effective.
