This company is actually a family business. The management consists entirely of the boss’s children, who were supposed to take over the second generation of the business. Unfortunately, they couldn’t, so older outsiders were brought in, resulting in an excessive number of relatives and cronies in the company.
There are also many colleagues who look down their noses at people and ignore them. They won’t even say a word to you, and they’re the type who roll their eyes when they see someone. There are far too many two-faced drama queens who put on an act every day—one way to your face and another behind your back. They form cliques, gossip endlessly, complain endlessly, and criticize every new hire without end. Today they secretly talk about how this person is strange and that person is weird. Every new colleague who joins gets judged. Only the clique members remain, secretly spreading rumors and driving people away. That’s probably how they managed to become long-term deadwood for seven or eight years.
With things operating this way, the turnover rate is extremely high. On average, someone leaves and someone else arrives every three days. HR must have fantastic performance—well, no kidding, since they’re constantly sending people off and welcoming new ones. More employees come and go than there are customers. = =
They’re constantly posting new openings, and some positions stay listed forever. Do you know why? It’s not just because 104 leaves postings up simply because it can. They really do interview and hire people, but any normal person will discover within three days of starting that the company is seriously abnormal and immediately run away. So the job postings don’t need to be closed, because a normal person will never stay for more than a week. If someone stays longer than a week, they gradually become abnormal too, starting to fall into self-doubt and inner struggle. In the end, they still leave—it just takes another two months of wasted time. Oh, right, I forgot to mention that the working environment is terrible, the colleagues’ attitudes are awful, and the managers have all kinds of problems.
