I genuinely advise people against coming here. You can’t choose your own department, and if the department is terrible, everything about it is terrible. The long-serving section chief acts like the boss. There’s also a self-important administrative assistant who thinks she’s the section chief’s wife, so she speaks very loudly. She targets people rather than dealing with the issues, and spends all day painting grand pictures. Those in favor are treated like babies; those out of favor are treated like shit.
