Honestly, I’d advise people not to come. You can’t choose your own department, and if the department is lousy, everything is lousy. The section chief has been there forever and acts like the boss. There’s also a self-important administrative clerk who thinks she’s the section chief’s wife, so she talks very loudly. She targets people instead of addressing issues and spends all day painting unrealistic pictures. Favorites are treated like babies; those who aren’t favored are treated like shit.
