Seriously, I’d discourage anyone from coming here. You can’t choose your own department, and if the department is lousy, everything is lousy. The longtime section chief acts like they’re the boss. There’s also a self-important administrative assistant who thinks she’s the section chief’s wife, so she speaks very loudly. She targets people rather than issues and spends all day painting rosy pictures. Those in favor are treated like babies; those out of favor are treated like shit.
