I really want to discourage anyone from coming here. You can't choose your own department; if the department is bad, everything about it is bad. The head of the department has been in the position forever and acts like the boss. There's also a self-important administrative assistant who thinks she's the department head's wife, so she talks very loudly. She targets people rather than addressing issues and spends all day painting rosy pictures. Those in favor are treated like babies; those out of favor are treated like shit.
