Everyone was quite friendly when I joined. They asked how I was doing, greeted one another, and seemed to be doing quite well overall.
Three days after I joined, I was suddenly told that there had been a change in the company’s staffing arrangements. The boss said that the department did not need another assistant and kept apologizing to me, saying that I had learned the job well and was stable, but that they were helpless about the company’s sudden decision. They then terminated my employment involuntarily. I wasted 1,250 on a medical examination for the job, which felt terrible. Shouldn’t recruiters get the boss’s approval before hiring someone? Moreover, on my second day, I heard them arranging an interview. This really is a landmine of a company.
