The security guard was nice, and so was the manager who conducted the first-round interview.
The interview location was not the headquarters, but a module factory less than five minutes away. Compared with the headquarters, the environment was very poor—like an old factory. There was only one employee in the first-floor office, and the desks, chairs, and cabinets all looked very old…
The interview office (which didn’t really look like an office) was simply a space with desks and chairs in it—very basic.
The manager who conducted the first-round interview was friendly and explained the job responsibilities very clearly, so I had a very good impression.
The second-round interviewer seemed to be a senior manager. This person kept me waiting for about 20 minutes, and there happened to be a meeting in the office at the time, so the interview was conducted at a table and chairs in a corner next to the entrance on the first floor. There were other employees nearby as well, which was really quite awkward… This manager tended to go on and on. The main point was that this was a new team that needed to be built, and no one would train you because everyone was very busy. Once you joined, you would need to be independent, teach yourself, figure out what everyone was doing, and observe, ask questions, and learn as much as possible—but whether anyone would answer you was another matter. In the end, they let me ask questions, but whenever I asked about one thing, they continued talking about something else????
In short, think it over carefully.
