The security guard was nice, and the manager who conducted the first-round interview was nice.
The interview location was not the headquarters, but a module factory less than five minutes away. By comparison, the environment was very poor—it felt like an old factory. There was only one employee in the office on the first floor, and the desks, chairs, and cabinets all looked very old…
The interview office (which didn’t really look like an office) was simply a space with desks and chairs in it—very basic.
The manager who conducted the first-round interview was friendly and explained the job responsibilities very clearly, so I had a very good impression.
The manager in the second round seemed to be a senior manager. This person kept me waiting for around 20 minutes, and there happened to be a meeting taking place in the office, so the interview was conducted at a table and chairs in a corner next to the entrance on the first floor. There were other employees nearby at the time, which was really awkward… This manager tended to talk on and on. The main point was that this was a new team that needed to be built, and no one would guide you because everyone was very busy. After joining, you would need to be independent and self-motivated, teach yourself, find out what everyone was working on, and observe, ask questions, and learn as much as possible—but whether anyone would answer you was another matter. At the end, I was given a chance to ask questions, but when I asked about one thing, he continued talking about something else????
In short, think it over carefully.
