The interview experience was extremely poor.
The COO was very disrespectful.
The position was misleading and not what it was advertised to be.
I applied to another subsidiary, but during the interview they directly told me, “You wouldn’t only be doing this, would you??”
Yet they could not clearly explain what the job actually involved.
They just kept saying that the company was not large but had a certain amount of revenue.
They also asked how much annual revenue my previous company had.
They said that one of their business units could earn that much in just one month.
They also said that I was a blank slate (even though I had already been a manager in my previous job).
They spoke and communicated in a demeaning and sarcastic manner throughout.
They also emphasized the importance of stress tolerance.
From what I can see, the source of stress is never the work itself but the people.
They may well be the biggest source of stress.
Finally, they told me that the salary they were discussing with me did not mean I had been hired.
They also cut my salary while taking an attitude of doing me a favor.
They said they would evaluate other candidates as well.
Yet they notified me that I had been hired less than three days after the interview.
That was really quite interesting!
