It feels like a fairly large company
I had one interview. During the initial phone call, the HR contact made the position sound incredible. After the interview, I spoke with two managers; the discussion was fairly ordinary, though the senior manager seemed satisfied. The next day, HR contacted me promptly, implying that everything was fine, and we began discussing the salary. After I provided my salary expectations, they also said there was no problem. They said that once the holiday break was over, they would complete the process and confirm everything.
Then the nightmare began. After waiting for more than a week, I became confused and emailed to ask about the status. They suddenly said they were still continuing the interview process, as if everything they had said verbally before meant nothing. They kept refusing to give me an answer. In the end, they told me they would proactively notify me once there was a result. I waited a full month, only to discover that the job posting had been removed. I emailed again to ask, and only then did they tell me that they had already found someone. Is this really an acceptable way to do things? Do they not consider the applicant's time to be valuable?
