The kitchen basically has everything you can see available to eat
The coworkers are pretty nice and aren't overly annoying
No limit on overtime
Pretty much the same as a certain other review
They basically teach you once and then leave you on your own halfway; they won't proactively come ask about your progress
If you don't know something, you can only go into the office to ask
(The testing area sometimes isn't in the office; it may be next to the lobby)
When I had just started, the orders may have happened to be at a pause, so I was doing relatively simple tasks such as cleaning, visual inspections, and putting things into boxes
After more orders came in, I was basically testing every day
Not long after I started, the engineers would ask other assistants nearby about my progress, why my testing was taking so long, or question whether my procedures were correct
But sometimes I was actually right there; it would have been faster to just ask me directly instead of going through someone else
And usually, only after the engineers asked would the other people come ask me about my progress or what problems I was having
But sometimes it was really helpless. After all, you can't compare someone who just joined with the speed of an experienced worker (right?)
Also,
The work assignments are very poorly organized, and there is no handover
After finishing one round, I always have to ask what I'm supposed to do in the next round
Then I have to ask again after finishing that round. It's really annoying
Sometimes they simply can't give me a schedule
Maybe the more difficult model in the next round has to be handled by an experienced worker
So I can only do the basic, simple tasks first
In other words, I don't know what they will ask me to do next, but the boss's wife requires me to lay out the schedule in the “To-do items for this week” section of the work report. That's simply asking the impossible (so I never entered anything)
There was also a minor incident. When I first started, I had no idea that your pay starts being calculated as soon as you clock in (my hours were 9:00–18:00). Before that, I used to clock in before 8:30
I thought it was fine to clock in early at many companies; after all, you start getting paid at the scheduled start time
As a result, during my first week, I didn't know and started eating breakfast right after clocking in
Who knew the boss's wife would ask me, “Why don't you eat breakfast at home?”
????? I thought to myself: Where I eat breakfast is none of your damn business
I only found out later that pay starts being calculated as soon as you clock in (this was never mentioned in the interview)
So afterward, I clocked in at 8:50, right before work
I actually really regret joining this company
I applied for an engineering assistant position, but basically spent every day testing
It was nothing like an engineering assistant; it was more like a technician
Actually, what the company needs isn't an engineering assistant, but a technician, right?
I've been here for almost three months, and getting a server set up has been dragging on and on
They said they had to wait until the boss returned from a business trip before setting it up, but even after he came back, nothing was done
Every day, the test data has to be uploaded to the server, and I have to ask a coworker to upload it every time. It's really troublesome ^_^
I complained at work that I was testing every day. It was really annoying
The other assistants replied that they had gone through the same thing
But what the hell does that have to do with me? I didn't apply to be a technician
And I'm busier than a dog every day, while the pay is relatively low
(Lower than what 104 listed)
I've recently started interviewing with new companies
I'll resign immediately once I find one
