Pros

You can basically eat whatever you see in the kitchen.

The coworkers are pretty nice and not overly annoying.

There’s no limit on overtime.

Cons

Pretty much the same as what was mentioned in another review.

They basically teach you once and then leave you on your own halfway. They won’t proactively ask about your progress.

If you don’t know something, you can only go into the office to ask.

(The testing location is sometimes not in the office; it may be next to the lobby.)

When I had just started, the order may have happened to be at a lull, so I was doing relatively simple tasks such as cleaning, visual inspections, and boxing things.

After more orders came in, I was basically testing every day.

Not long after I started, the engineers would ask the other assistants nearby about my progress, why my testing was taking so long, or question whether my procedures were correct.

But sometimes I was right there beside them. It would have been faster to just ask me directly instead of going through someone else.

Also, usually only after the engineers asked would the others come and ask me about my progress or what problems I was having.

But sometimes it was really helpless. After all, it’s not fair to compare someone who just joined with the speed of an experienced worker (right?).

And then there’s the work assignment system.

There’s no clear prioritization and no handover.

After finishing one round, I have to ask what I’m supposed to do in the next round.

After finishing that round, I have to ask again. It’s really annoying.

Sometimes they can’t even give me a schedule.

Maybe the more difficult model in the next round has to be handled by an experienced worker,

so I can only do the basic, simple ones first.

Basically, I don’t know what they’ll ask me to do next, but the boss’s wife requires me to schedule everything in the “To-do Items for This Week” section of the work report. That’s completely unreasonable (so I didn’t enter anything at all).

There was also a minor incident. When I first started, I had no idea that clocking in meant my pay started being calculated immediately (my hours were 9:00–18:00). Before that, I would clock in before 8:30.

I thought it was fine to clock in early at many companies—after all, the scheduled start time is when they start counting your pay.

So during my first week, I didn’t know this and started eating breakfast right after clocking in.

Who knew the boss’s wife would ask me, “Why don’t you eat breakfast at home?”

????? In my head, I thought: Where I eat breakfast is none of your business.

I only found out later that clocking in meant my pay started being calculated immediately (this was never mentioned during the interview).

So afterward, I would clock in at 8:50, just before work started.

I actually really regret joining this company.

I applied for an engineering assistant position, but basically spent every day testing.

It’s nothing like an engineering assistant role; it’s more like being a technician.

What the company really needs isn’t an engineering assistant—it’s a technician, right?

I’ve been here for almost three months, and they still drag their feet about setting up a server.

They said they had to wait for the boss to return from a business trip before setting it up, but even after he returned, nothing was done.

Every day, I have to upload the test data to the server, and every time I have to ask a coworker to help upload it. It’s really troublesome ^_^

I complained at work that I was testing every day and it was annoying.

The other assistants replied that they had gone through the same thing.

But what does that have to do with me? I didn’t apply to be a technician.

And I’m busier than a dog every day, while the pay is relatively low.

(It’s even lower than what 104 shows.)

Recently, I’ve started interviewing with new companies.

Once I find one, I’ll resign immediately.
