Pros

You can basically eat whatever you see in the kitchen.

The colleagues are pretty nice and aren't overly annoying.

There is no limit on overtime.

Cons

More or less the same as in a certain other review.

They basically teach you once and then more or less leave you on your own. They don't proactively ask about your progress.

If you don't know something, you can only go into the office to ask.

(Sometimes the testing area isn't in the office; it may be next to the lobby.)

When I first joined, the previous order may have just reached its conclusion, so I did relatively simple tasks such as cleaning, visual inspection, and packing.

After additional orders came in, I was basically testing every day.

Not long after I joined, the engineers would ask the other assistants nearby about my progress and why my testing was taking so long, or question whether my procedures were correct.

But sometimes I was right beside them. It would have been much faster to ask me directly instead of going through someone else.

Also, usually only after the engineer asked would the others come and ask me about my progress or what problems I was having.

But sometimes I felt really helpless. After all, you can't compare someone who just joined with the speed of an experienced employee (right?).

And then,

work assignments are poorly organized and there is no handover.

After I finish one round, I have to ask again what I should do in the next round.

After finishing another round, I have to ask again. It's really annoying.

Sometimes they can't even give me a schedule.

Maybe the more difficult model in the next round has to be handled by an experienced employee,

so I can only do the basic, simple tasks first.

In other words, I don't know what they will ask me to do next, but the boss's wife requires me to lay out my schedule in the “Tasks for This Week” section of the work report. That's simply asking the impossible (so I never entered anything).

There was also a minor incident. When I first joined, I had no idea that wages started being calculated as soon as I clocked in (my hours are 9:00–18:00). Before that, I would clock in before 8:30.

I thought it was fine to clock in early at many companies; after all, you start getting paid at the scheduled starting time.

But during my first week, I didn't know this, so after clocking in I started eating breakfast.

Who knew the boss's wife would ask me, “Why don't you eat breakfast at home?”

????? I thought to myself: Where I eat breakfast is none of your business.

Only later did I find out that the pay calculation starts as soon as you clock in (this was never mentioned during the interview).

So afterward, I clocked in at 8:50, just before work started.

I actually really regret joining this company.

I applied for an engineering assistant position, but basically spent every day testing.

It's not really like being an engineering assistant; it's more like being a technician.

Actually, the company wasn't looking for an engineering assistant—it was looking for a technician, right?

I've been here for almost three months, and getting a server set up is still dragging on.

They said they had to wait until the boss returned from a business trip before setting it up, but even after he returned, nothing was done.

Every day I have to upload the test data to the server, and each time I have to ask a colleague to help upload it. It's really troublesome ^_^

I complained at work that I was testing every day and it was annoying.

The other assistants replied that they had gone through the same thing.

But that's none of my business. I didn't apply to be a technician.

And I'm busier than a dog every day, while the pay is on the low side.

(Lower than what 104 lists.)

Recently, I started interviewing with new companies.

As soon as I find one, I'll resign immediately.
