Pros

The only advantages may be working on time, taking meals on time, and not really having to work overtime at the company.

Cons

1) The general manager is extremely miserly and stingy, yet loves taking credit and cares about saving face. The entire company has better and cleaner equipment only in his office and the conference room; everything else consists of discarded computers that other people no longer wanted, picked up from the public computer company downstairs in the same building.

2) The company normally wants to save money and refuses to hire a cleaner, and it did not even do a thorough year-end cleaning. According to senior colleagues, the company had not done a thorough cleaning for 12 years. In addition, warehouse management and shipping are carried out in the same space, so when there are large shipments, the air throughout the entire office becomes extremely poor.

3) Apart from the desks and chairs being things other people did not want, the company does not even have a small refrigerator. Employees not only have no way to chill bottled drinks, but cannot even refrigerate basic packed lunches. Yet the company tells employees that there is a microwave and that they can bring lunch to the office—is it supposed to be microwaved after it has turned sour and smells bad?

4) There is no point hoping for a year-end banquet or spring banquet. One year, the company shamelessly tried to join the banquet of the public computer company downstairs and freeload on three tables. However, southern employees would have had to take leave to travel north, then rush back south that evening after eating, without having a day off the next day. The southern employees did not want to travel north, so the company could not fill three tables and gave up.

5) The general manager likes to quantify work by time, believing that each task should take at most 10 minutes or half an hour to complete. Therefore, he thinks employees should normally be able to accomplish many tasks every day; if they do not finish, it is supposedly an individual employee's problem. He may even say that people with a sense of responsibility should take the work home to do on weekends. Yet the northern office, including him, has no more than 10 people. After excluding a group of managers who are very good at passing off tasks and avoiding responsibility, there are only about five people beneath them who can actually get things done, but those five people are expected to handle nearly the workload of 20 people.

6) Because the company has difficulty even hiring people, in addition to each person who actually does the work below carrying the workload of five or six people, the company does not have a single salesperson. Instead, it distributes bits of different business duties among different employees. Business administration, the marketing manager, the nutritionist, and others all have to take on strange business responsibilities.
