New facilities, clean and attractive, spacious, and a comfortable office environment
People compete to be the loudest; they scold you first and talk later.
Or they stay silent and claim not to know anything, waiting to watch you make mistakes. Who knows how the process is supposed to work? Apart from the long-serving old-timers, there are constantly rotating supporting players. The supporting players exist mainly to highlight the importance of the old-timers.
The Sales Department is even more entertaining. Newcomers have to know how to curry favor with the right people; otherwise, no one will teach you. They just throw out, “Wasn’t it covered in the training? Read it yourself.” How much detail can be taught in a half-day training session that is rushed through once? Often, they themselves do not understand much of it either.
Newcomers have to learn to constantly show loyalty to the slightly overweight manager and flatter her. Otherwise, she will deliberately fail to explain things clearly or respond, and may also incite others to block you in order to demonstrate her managerial power.
Colleagues may also try to vie for the position of second-in-command and engage in indescribable behavior. Unless you are good at internal politics, I would still advise you to leave! Life is short; don’t get stuck in the mud!
