After submitting my résumé, HR called me and said that another position seemed more suitable for me, asking whether I would like to give it a try. I agreed.

After that, they sent me some files that needed to be completed: a personality test, a SWOT analysis, questions about my understanding of the position, and various questions about young people’s perspectives on job hunting today. Altogether, it was nearly 10 pages, and I had to complete and return it within one day. But what happened? Before the interview, they had not even read or received it. It was truly a waste of time.

The interview was even more outrageous. There were two interviewers: one older and one younger.

The older one was not listening to me at all. He kept looking at the documents in his hands, asked questions in an extremely rude manner, and even rolled his eyes, as if he thought I did not understand what he was asking. I did understand what he wanted to ask, and I had clearly done the necessary preparation before the interview.

Normally, candidates are expected to relate their academic and professional background to the position they are applying for, after which the interviewer assesses whether they meet the company’s needs. He asked about the field of my previous job and the projects I had worked on, relentlessly probing me, even though they had nothing to do with this position. I really do not understand why he conducted the interview that way.

The younger interviewer was no more polite and made many sarcastic and cutting remarks.

I went to an interview, not to listen to you lecture me, and certainly not to be humiliated. It was truly a very unpleasant interview experience and left me with significant emotional distress.

I have never encountered such terrible interviewers. Their EQ was extremely low. If I was not the candidate you needed, you could at least have given me a graceful way to leave and handled it more tactfully instead of treating people this way.

With the salary your company offers and so many requirements, I can only wish you luck finding a suitable candidate.
