1. Most colleagues are fairly easy to get along with
2. The office location is very convenient in terms of transportation
3. There are quite a few food options nearby
4. Parking is convenient; there is a paid parking lot behind the company
1. The company constantly changes its decisions, and the boss’s mood is unpredictable
2. On the surface, it is a fashion brand distributor, but in reality it operates with a very traditional industry mindset (a family-run business, closed-off, with unclear promotion prospects)
3. Hiring and assigning people based on personal preferences; ability is useless. You might as well learn how to flatter people and deceive senior management who do not understand the business (an intern who spent less than a year at a well-known advertising agency can come here and take a position at the managerial level)
4. Extremely unfamiliar with the industry, doing things entirely according to the boss’s personal preferences and arrogance (if you genuinely want to understand the fashion industry, joining this company will only hurt you rather than help, because everything you learn here consists of misconceptions)
5. The pay is pitifully low.
6. Overtime hours cannot be converted into money in the same month; you can only take compensatory leave (whether you can actually get the leave is a whole other mystery)
7. If your duties require contacting and coordinating with vendors, congratulations—you will develop the shameless skill of slashing prices. You can bargain so aggressively that you become notorious in the industry, draining your partner vendors dry and cutting prices to the bone until they blacklist the company.
8. Because of the work, if any products you handle are damaged or dirty, you have to pay compensation out of your own pocket (you can look up the average price of one of the代理商品—roughly how much each item costs)
9. The company’s event sale has a complicated mix of people coming and going. There was once a theft at a sale in which merchandise worth several hundred thousand was stolen, and the company required all sales associates on duty to reimburse the full retail price (having to pay over a hundred thousand just for coming to work sounds exciting, right?)
10. The entire company is an outsider in the fashion world. Its sales, marketing, public relations, and other functions are all laughable in the eyes of industry professionals. If you want to become one of the people they look down on, come on in.
