1. Most colleagues are fairly easy to get along with
2. The office location is very convenient for transportation
3. There are quite a few food options nearby
4. Parking is convenient; there is a paid parking lot behind the company
1. The company frequently changes its decisions, and the boss’s mood is unpredictable
2. On the surface, it is a fashion brand agency, but in practice it operates with a very traditional industry mindset (a family-business structure, closed-off, with unclear promotion policies)
3. People are hired based on personal preferences; competence is useless. You might as well learn how to flatter people and deceive senior management who do not understand the business (an intern who stayed at a well-known advertising agency for less than a year can come here and obtain a position at the managerial level)
4. The company is extremely unfamiliar with the industry and operates entirely according to the boss’s personal preferences and arrogance (if you genuinely want to understand the fashion industry, joining this company will only hurt, not help, because everything you learn here consists of incorrect concepts)
5. The salary is ridiculously low.
6. Overtime hours cannot be converted into pay during the same month; they can only be exchanged for compensatory leave (whether you can actually take that leave is another story)
7. If your job requires contacting and coordinating with vendors, congratulations—you will develop shameless bargaining skills. You can bargain until you become notorious in the industry, drain your partner vendors dry, and bargain them down to the bone, ending up on their blacklist.
8. Because of work-related responsibilities, if any products you handle are damaged or soiled, you have to pay compensation out of your own pocket (you can look up the average price of a single agency product)
9. The company’s events and sales involve a complicated mix of visitors. There was once a theft at a sale in which goods worth several hundred thousand were stolen, and the company required all sales associates on duty to reimburse the full retail price (Isn’t it exciting to come to work and have to pay over a hundred thousand?)
10. The entire company is made up of outsiders to the fashion industry. In the eyes of industry professionals, its sales, marketing, public relations, and other operations are all laughable. If you want to become one of the people others look down on, welcome.
