1. Most colleagues are fairly easy to get along with.
2. The office location is very convenient for transportation.
3. There are quite a few food options nearby.
4. Parking is convenient; there is a paid parking lot behind the company.
1. The company constantly changes its decisions, and the boss’s mood is unpredictable.
2. On the surface, it is a fashion brand distributor, but in reality it has a very traditional industry mindset (a family-business system, closed-off, with unclear promotion opportunities).
3. People are hired based on personal preferences; competence is useless. You might as well learn how to flatter people and deceive uninformed senior management (an intern who worked at a well-known advertising agency for less than a year can come here and take on a managerial-level position).
4. It is extremely unfamiliar with the industry and operates entirely according to the boss’s personal preferences and arrogance (if you genuinely want to understand the fashion industry, joining this company will only hurt you rather than help, because everything you learn here consists of misconceptions).
5. The pay is pitifully low.
6. Overtime hours cannot be exchanged for money during the same month; they can only be converted into compensatory leave (whether you can actually take the leave is another story).
7. If your duties require contacting and coordinating with vendors, congratulations—you will develop an impressive ability to haggle shamelessly. You can become notorious throughout the industry, squeeze vendors dry, and bargain them down to the bone until you end up on their blacklist.
8. Because of work-related reasons, if any products you handle are damaged or dirty, you have to pay out of pocket to compensate for them (you can look up the average price of a single product from the brands they represent).
9. The people coming in and out of the company’s promotional sales events are a mixed crowd. There was once a theft at a sale in which merchandise worth hundreds of thousands was stolen, and the company required all sales associates on duty to reimburse the full retail value (Having to pay over a hundred thousand just for showing up to work sounds exciting, right?).
10. The entire company is an outsider in the fashion world. Its sales, marketing, public relations, and other functions are all considered laughable by industry professionals. If you want to become one of the people looked down upon, welcome aboard.
