With nearly four years of experience at this company, working as a store clerk is honestly quite easy; it only gets busier during major holidays. I recommend working here to people who have a responsible attitude toward work but do not want to do too much, and to those who dislike having too many rules like at Japanese companies. If you are not short on money, it is a good job for taking it easy until retirement.
As mentioned above, the salary is proportional to the workload, so this job is more suitable for people without financial pressure.
One very important point: Because there are many employees, the store managers and full-time staff you encounter can differ greatly in character. Of the several stores I worked at, I only encountered one or two people who were not very okay.
The final straw, however, was the “Taichung Meicun Clearance Center.” There were no problems with the job duties, and the working hours were fixed; in short, it was because of the “people.”
At first, the working environment at this store was harmonious, and the adjustment period went relatively smoothly. However, as time went on, I felt that internal interpersonal interactions had a significant impact on the work experience. The work atmosphere had already been affected by communication styles and the way people got along.
Over the course of working together long-term, the way veteran employees interact with newcomers may change over time. For people who place greater importance on harmonious communication or are easily affected by the work atmosphere, these changes may create a certain amount of psychological pressure.
I recommend that prospective applicants pay particular attention to their interactions and compatibility with existing team members during their evaluation, to ensure that the workplace meets their needs.
