With nearly four years of experience at this company, it has honestly been quite an easy job for a store clerk. It only gets busier during major holidays. I recommend working here to people who have a responsible work attitude but do not want to do too much, and to those who dislike the many rules typically found at Japanese companies. If you are not short on money, it is a good job for taking it easy.
As mentioned above, the salary is proportional to the workload, so it is more suitable for people without financial pressure~
A very important point: Because there are many employees, the store managers and full-time staff you encounter can differ considerably in character. Having worked at several stores, I only encountered one or two people who were not very okay.
The final straw, however, was the “Taichung Meicun Clearance Center.” There was nothing wrong with the work itself, and the working hours were fixed; in short, it was about the “people.”
At this store, the working environment was harmonious during the initial period, and the adjustment period was relatively smooth. However, as time went on, I felt that internal interpersonal interactions had a significant impact on the work experience. The work atmosphere was already being affected by the ways people communicated and interacted with one another.
Over the course of working together long term, the way veteran employees interact with newcomers may change over time. For people who “place greater importance on harmonious communication or are easily affected by the work atmosphere,” these changes may cause a certain degree of mental stress.
I recommend that prospective applicants pay particular attention to their interactions and ability to adapt to existing members when evaluating the position, to ensure that it meets their own workplace needs.
