The boss is a woman and a really kind, nice person. Sometimes she treats us to snacks and drinks, and the company also covers lunch at work, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket. Compared with other places, it’s very generous and a good company. The shortcomings mentioned below absolutely do not mean that this company is bad—they concern a certain “bad apple” at the company.
If you’re applying as an apprentice, watch out for someone whose surname is Yu. From my very first day at work, he started trying to psychologically manipulate me, without showing any courtesy. I only realized what a horror story it was after I quit. Sometimes he may chat and joke with you, but that’s not because he wants to get to know you—it’s because he happens to be in a good mood and feels like talking to you. Oh, and the reason I say this is that this industry has a seniority system, like the senior-junior system in hospitals. You must not offend the “senior” at this company—the person with the surname Yu. He looks carefree and casually throws around exaggerated claims; whenever you say one sentence, he’ll counter with ten, in a very stereotypically male lecturing style. Having to spend nearly 10 hours at work with someone like this is painful. If you show even a little impatience or become emotional, he won’t show you any courtesy either! Using his authority as a senior, he will mercilessly suppress you and erase your opportunities to grow. This company’s inability to recruit apprentices is definitely largely caused by this bad apple. He drives people away, then complains that nobody wants to come work there!
You think you’re here to learn technical skills, but in reality you’re competing with your senior 😊 All kinds of manipulation and suppression are aimed at pushing you down. I don’t even know how many people he drove away before me, but he won’t tell you. If you really want to come, prepare yourself first for how to deal with this bad apple. I was simply too naïve and thought I was only coming to learn technical skills. Best of luck to us all.
