The boss is a woman and a really nice person. Sometimes she treats us to snacks and drinks, and the company also covers lunch at work, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket. Compared with other places, it’s very generous and a good company. The drawbacks described below absolutely do not mean that this company is bad, but rather concern a “certain rotten apple” at the company.
If you’re applying as an apprentice, watch out for someone with the surname Yu. From my very first day at work, he started trying to manipulate me psychologically, with no regard for your feelings. I only realized after leaving that this had been a frightening experience. He might chat and joke with you sometimes, but that’s not because he wants to get to know you—it’s because he happens to be in a good mood and feels like talking to you. Oh, and the reason I say this is that this industry has a seniority system, similar to the senior-junior system among nurses in hospitals. You must not offend the company’s “senior”—that is, the person surnamed Yu. He looks careless and speaks in exaggerated terms; whatever you say in one sentence, he’ll argue against with ten. Having to spend nearly 10 hours at work with someone like this is painful. If you show even a little impatience or become emotional, he won’t go easy on you either! He uses his seniority to ruthlessly suppress you and erase your opportunities to grow. A large part of the reason this company can’t recruit apprentices is definitely this rotten apple’s fault. He drives people away and then complains, “Nobody wants to come here~”
You think you’re here to learn technical skills, but in reality you’re competing with your senior 😊. He’ll mess with you in all kinds of ways and use psychological manipulation to put you down—his goal is to trample you. I don’t even know how many people he drove away before me, but he won’t tell you. If you really want to come, prepare in advance for how you’ll deal with this rotten apple. I was simply too naïve and thought I was only coming to learn technical skills. Take care.
