The boss is a woman and a really kind, nice person. Sometimes she treats us to snacks and drinks, and the company also covers lunch on workdays, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket. Compared with other places, it’s very generous and a good company. The drawbacks mentioned below absolutely do not mean that this company is bad, but rather refer to a certain “rotten apple” in the company.
If you’re applying as an apprentice, watch out for someone with the surname Yu. From my first day at work, he started trying to use PUA tactics on me without showing any courtesy. This is a frightening story I only realized after leaving the company. He may sometimes chat and joke with you, but that isn’t because he wants to get to know you—it’s because he’s in a good mood and feels like talking to you. Oh, and the reason I say this is that this industry has a seniority system, similar to the senior-junior system in hospitals. You must not offend the company’s “senior”—that is, the person surnamed Yu. He looks careless and flippant, makes exaggerated claims, and engages in all kinds of mansplaining: you say one sentence and he counters with ten. Having to spend nearly 10 hours a day at work with someone like this is extremely painful. If you show even a little impatience or become emotional, he won’t show you any courtesy either! He uses his authority as a senior to ruthlessly suppress you and erase your opportunities to grow. This company’s inability to recruit apprentices is absolutely at least half due to this rotten apple. He drives people away, then complains that no one wants to come~
You think you’re here to learn technical skills, but in reality you’re competing with your senior 😊 All kinds of schemes and PUA tactics are used to suppress you and push you down. I don’t even know how many people he drove away before me, but he won’t tell you. If you really want to come, prepare in advance for how you’ll deal with this rotten apple. I was simply too naïve and thought I was only coming to learn technical skills. Take care, everyone.
