The boss is a woman and a very kind, nice person. Sometimes she treats us to snacks and drinks, and the company also covers lunch on workdays, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket. Compared with other places, it’s very generous and is a good company. The shortcomings described below absolutely do not mean that this company is bad, but rather concern a certain “bad apple” at the company.
If you’re applying as an apprentice, watch out for a person whose surname is Yu. From my very first day at work, he started trying to manipulate me psychologically, with no attempt to be polite. I only realized after leaving that this was a terrifying experience. He might sometimes chat and joke with you, but that isn’t because he wants to get to know you—it’s because he happens to be in a good mood and feels like talking to you. Oh, and the reason I say this is that this industry has a seniority system, similar to the senior-junior system in hospitals. You must not offend the company’s “senior”—that is, the person surnamed Yu. He looks carefree and talks full of exaggerated claims. For every one thing you say, he will contradict you ten times with various forms of male lecturing. Having to spend nearly 10 hours of work each day with someone like this is extremely painful. If you show even a little impatience or become emotional, he won’t be polite to you either! Using his authority as a senior, he will mercilessly suppress you and erase your opportunities to grow. This “bad apple” is absolutely responsible for a large part of the reason this company can’t recruit apprentices: he drives people away and then complains that no one wants to come.
You think you’re here to learn technical skills, but in reality, you’re competing with your senior 😊 All kinds of schemes, psychological manipulation, and suppression are intended to keep you down. I don’t even know how many people he drove away before me, but he won’t tell you. If you really want to come, prepare in advance for how to deal with this bad apple. I was simply too naïve and thought I was only coming to learn technical skills. Take care, everyone.
