The boss is a woman and a really nice person. She sometimes treats us to snacks and drinks, and the company also covers lunch at work, so you don’t have to pay out of pocket. Compared with other places, they’re very generous. It’s a good company. The drawbacks mentioned below absolutely aren’t meant to say this company is bad, but rather concern a certain “rotten apple” in the company.
If you’re applying as an apprentice, watch out for someone with the surname Yu. From my very first day at work, he started trying to manipulate me, with no regard for how I felt. This is a disturbing story I only realized after I resigned. He might sometimes chat and joke with you, but that’s not because he wants to get to know you—it’s because he’s in a good mood and feels like talking to you. Oh, and the reason I say this is that this industry has a seniority system, like the senior-junior system in hospitals. You must not offend the “senior” at this company—the one with the surname Yu. He looks careless and acts cocky, constantly making exaggerated claims. You say one thing and he argues against ten. Having to spend nearly ten hours a day with someone like this is painful. If you show even a little impatience or become emotional, he won’t go easy on you either! Hiding behind his senior status, he will mercilessly suppress you and undermine your opportunities to grow.～ A major reason this company can’t recruit apprentices is definitely this rotten apple. He drives people away and then complains that no one wants to come work here.～
You think you’re here to learn technical skills, but in reality you’re competing with your senior 😊 He’ll mess with you in all kinds of ways, using manipulation and suppression to push you down. I don’t even know how many people he drove away before me, but he won’t tell you. If you really want to come, prepare yourself for how to deal with this rotten apple.
